2016, A Year in Review
Hello, Book Lovers!
I’m going to keep this blog post short and to the point. I know 2016 was a great year for a lot of people especially politically, but personally, I’ve had the best year ever. This is the beauty of looking back and seeing all of the amazing things that happened over the course of a year.
So, let’s take a brief look at my 2016, a year in review.
In May, I managed to tick off a travel destination of my bucket list and spent two amazing weeks in Rome, Vatican City, Florence and Venice.
It was in 2016 that I finally gave myself permission to pursue writing as a career.
My amazing man asked me to marry him one evening while we were on a river cruise along the Seine in Paris. So, romantic! I travelled to San Francisco and New York, then, I returned to London, and I finished writing the first drafts of the first two books in the James Lalonde Thriller Series.
I had a great year but, there were some not so great things that happened. I’m not sharing all of this to brag but, to illustrate the power of perspective. If I looked back and chose to see terrorism, death, political change and uncertainty, sick family members with illnesses like dementia, then I would miss all of these amazing things that happened.
Now, I’d love to hear from you. What are you most grateful for in 2016? Let me know by sharing your thoughts in the comments below.
I hope you’re having an amazing start to 2017.
As always, happy reading book lovers!
