A Writer Writes: I’m Still Writing James Lalonde Book Three
Hello, Book Lovers!
In my previous blog post, I mentioned that I was working on not one but three writing projects.
One of those writing projects was James Lalonde Book Three. I ended up putting the story aside because I wrote myself in a corner and needed time to think about what I needed to do next with that story. At one stage, I removed six scenes or 6,118 words, which I loved writing from my manuscript because they took the story away from its core genre. In essence the story had become a thriller instead of an amateur sleuth mystery novel. And, I’m still glad that I made this choice.
The third book in the James Lalonde series now has a title, cover, and description, as you can see in the blog post’s header image. At present, I’m writing the first draft and I’ve reached 32,515 words, which is the midpoint of the story.
I aim to finish this novel by November of this year. So, hopefully no unexpected hick-ups will get in the way of my plans.
