A Writer Travels: A Weekend in Strasbourg France

by | A week in the life of a writer, A Writer Travels, Behind the Scenes

Hello, Book Lovers!

For some reason, this Strasbourg Vlog was another follow me around style video blog that I’d forgotten to share with you.

Oops, sorry.

The month of December was packed with travelling adventures for Roland and I. We only spent a few days in London. We’ve travelled to San Francisco, Munich, Strasbourg, Paris, and Poitiers. A lot of these travel destination where for work-related purposes and due to the location independence of my businesses, I tagged along with Roland and worked as we travelled.

The exception to this was a weekend in Strasbourg. The reason I wanted to go to Strasbourg, France was to visit the Strasbourg Christmas Markets. As you’ll see in the travel vlog, the entire town was decorated with Christmas ornaments. I don’t think I’ve seen so much Christmas festivities in one place. Even though it was autumn in Strasbourg, it snowed on our last day. The snow in Strasbourg was thick. Well, it was the heaviest downfall I’ve experienced. For those of you who may not know me, I’m from Brisbane Australia (think: sunshine and beaches).

The snow threw a spanner in our travel plans. We had planned on travelling back to Munich and then flying back to London where we would stay for five days, then travel to Paris. However, the snow had other ideas. I took us an entire day to reach the Munich International Airport. Upon arrival, we realised there were delays at the airport, and we missed our flights. We ended up staying in Munich for an extra two days.

I hope you enjoy the follow me around Strasbourg vlog.

Happy reading and I’ll see you in my next video.
